Backstretch, the jQuery dynamically-resized background image plugin

 

Most developers know that you can take a single image and making sure it scales to 100% width and 100% height of the window size. But things get complicated once that image needs to be a CSS background image, which is where Backstretch comes in.

Backstretch takes a specified image and dynamically resizes it as the browsers dimensions change. You can even have it stretch a normal container’s size (think AJAX)!
